Life is a journey of discovery guided by our creativity. Each day we are challenged and inspired by the experiences that mark the steps of our journey. Regardless of who we are or what we strive to be we all use creativity in problem solving, raising families or stitching cloth - all are acts of creative expression. Creativity is a gift of transformation and discovery in our life's journey.

Other Activities:
-
My commitment to the Fiber Arts has lead me to serve for the past three years as the Scholarship Chairperson for the South Valley Quilt Association. In this role I have contacted colleges in the Bay Area to identify students as candidates for scholarships which help them with the cost of their academic pursuits as fiber artists. As an artist I believe in giving back to my community and helping emerging artists achieve their goals.
-
I have also served as the Chairperson for a children’s Quilt Camp. I helped to develop a program for children to spend a week each summer to learn the art of quilting and its forms both traditional and artistic. The camp is provided to the children at a nominal cost and scholarships are provided to those children whose families cannot afford the tuition.
-
As a volunteer I have taught children's art classes in both private and public school settings. It is always a rewarding opportunity to work with children and introduce them to the wonderful world of their own creativity, artists, and art work.
