Hi there I'm Geri Patterson-Kutras
I'm a Fiber Artist and a Writer.
Quiet, captured moments in time are the muses for my work. Each of us experience days filled with those kind of moments, some are funny, some are touching, and yet others are the quiet moments that give us time to reflect and pause.
The daughter of a Mother who studied fashion design, I grew up surrounded by the sounds of scissors cutting cloth, the steady hum of a sewing machine, and the encouragement to express myself through bits of colorful cloth & stitch.

Art is the Dance between the Mind & the Soul
The de Young Fine Arts Museum is holding it's triennial, juried community art exhibition entitled de Young Open 2023. This year over 7000 artists submitted their work to be considered for a Salon style exhibition at the museum. 900 Artists from the nine Bay Area Counties were juried into the exhibition. I'm very excited and humbled to have my work Rainy Day Ballet selected as part of this exhibition!
The exhibition will run September 30, 2023-January 7, 2024 .
